In the last week, a vulnerability connected to running Java in a web browser has been affecting computers world-wide. It is critically important that you take the appropriate steps immediately to secure your computer by insuring, if it is installed, you are running the most current version of Java. This issue can affect computers running Windows, Macintosh, and Linux operating systems.

Please go to the ITS main web page (www.baylor.edu/its) and click on the Java Malware Vulnerability link in the red Alert box on the right hand side of the page for instructions.

Public use computers available across campus are safe for use and more information will follow soon about securing other university-owned computer systems.
