Using a laptop
As soon as you reconnect your laptop computer with the network line in your office, run Windows updates immediately. For more information, see the Windows Updates web page. Run an Ad-Aware scan to remove spyware from your computer and check your computer for viruses by running a full scan using the Symantec AntiVirus program. Leaving desktop in your office
After plugging you computer back in and reconnecting to the network in your office, run Windows updates immediately. For more information, see the Windows Updates web page. Run an Ad-Aware scan to remove spyware from your computer and check your computer for viruses by running a full scan using the Symantec AntiVirus program. Backup
Run a client-initiated backup as soon as your return using your Backup monitor located on the desktop. Quit out of all programs and close or save all active files before running the backup. This is optional if you have a desktop computer. For more information, see the Computer Backup web page.

Voicemail
If you changed your outgoing message to indicate that your were away from the office, record a new outgoing message. You can leave a different message for outside calls versus inside calls. For more information, see the Voicemail information page.

If you used a temporary greeting while you were away, it will need to be deleted. For instructions on deleting the temporary greeting, see the Voicemail information page.

Blackberry

Update your PRL (Preferred Roaming List) on your BlackBerry
Dial *228 from your BlackBerry and choose Option 2.

Clear your BlackBerry browser cache
Open your browers, press the wheel, choose Options, Cache Operations, clear history, cookies, content caches, etc™ Once this process is done you will see a message that says, "cleaning memory." Escape when done.

Reboot your BlackBerry to reclaim free space.

Email
Turn off your Outlook or Entourage "Out of Office" notification. From your Inbox, choose the Tools Menu, Out of Office assistant. Select the option that says, "I am currently in the office." Click OK when done. For more information, see the Email Documentation page.
