Password lock out or a "wiped" device Passwords and reactivations can be sent wirelessly, BUT you must notify ITS to obtain a new password or for us to help you reactivate your BlackBerry while you are out of town. ITS will contact you via a secondary email account or phone when possible. Passwords are typically numbers when you look at the keypad on your device, but in reality it is the corresponding letter on that key that is your true BlackBerry password.

Delete any unwanted or unnecessary messages from your BlackBerry. This will also help keep your Outlook/Exchange email account clean.

Remember-cell towers may or may not cover every part of where you travel. If you lose coverage simply power off the device, remove the battery (to reboot), and let the BlackBerry power back up. Hopefully it will find the next available cell tower signal and connect to your device.

Out of Office notifications - You can control/edit the "Out of Office" notification you set in Outlook or Entourage from your BlackBerry. From the message view, press the wheel, Options, Email settings, "Use Out of Office Reply" is where you can view, edit, or remove your Out of Office notice.
