Vice President and Chief Investment Officer
Brian Webb was appointed Chief Investment Officer of Baylor University in June of 2010. He leads a team of investment professionals responsible for the University's Endowment and other long-term assets. Before coming to Baylor, Brian was a Managing Director of UBS Global Asset Management (1993-2010) and served on the Finance Faculty of Indiana University (1989-1993). Dr. Webb has been published in numerous academic and professional journals on topics such as portfolio optimization and returns, and has been a speaker at investment conferences around the globe. He served as President and on the Board of Directors of NCREIF, a national research organization most noted for producing performance indices for the U.S. commercial real estate industry.
Dr. Webb received his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of North Carolina in 1990, and his BBA and MBA degrees from Baylor University in 1977 and 1979. In addition to his time at Indiana University, Brian has taught courses in finance and economics at Baylor, SMU and the Baylor Executive MBA program in Dallas. He has been active in a number of non-profit organizations - serving on boards, committees and coaching various youth sports teams.
