Retreat for Faculty, Staff Held in Texas Hill CountryJune 16, 2010On May 17-21, thirty five faculty, staff, and graduate students traveled into the heart of the Texas Hill Country to the Howard E. Butt Foundation's Laity Lodge Retreat Center. The occasion was the 2010 Vocation, Liberal Education, and the Professions Retreat sponsored by the Institute for Faith and Learning. The retreat offers participants time to reflect on their callings and the intersection of calling with the discipline of teaching, as well as the importance of institutional vocation and discussion of Baylor's mission as a Christian university. Leadership during the retreat was provided by Amy Black (Wheaton College), Burt Burleson (Baylor University), David Lyle Jeffrey (Baylor University), Daniel Treier (Wheaton College), and Paul Wadell (St. Norbert College).
