Everyone at the Institute for Faith and Learning is deeply appreciative for all who contributed to and attended our recent Baylor Symposium on Faith and Culture, "Educating for Wisdom in the 21st Century University." To our featured speakers, our concurrent presenters, attendees, and support staff--thank you. We have been grateful for the many words of praise that you have given us, but your participation was integral to the wonderful success of this event.
Official registration for the symposium was 431 attendees. This does not include the numerous individuals at Baylor, especially students, who sat in on one or more sessions. We estimate that those participants likely brought the final attendance closer to 500 at least. By either standard, this was the Institute's most well attended conference to date.
While we are recuperating from a busy past few weeks, the Institute's work does not stop. Already we have begun thinking with a view toward next year's conference. We are also working on getting videos of our plenary session posted on our Web site. Check back soon to see that they are up, and please share them with interested colleagues and students who could not join us last week.
Once again, we are grateful for an excellent three days of fellowship in pursuit of wisdom and for all those who made it possible.
