The Church Under The Bridge
Church Under the Bridge (CUB), in its organizational "9 Core Values," has committed itself to "embracing" all racial and economic backgrounds. Their intent for inter-ethnic relations is stated both in print and in action.
The church is committed to diverse leadership (including women and minorities) and has special efforts to empower all. As a result of their core commitments the church is racially diverse (demographics of attendees equal Waco's diversity) and economically diverse.
The Church has frequent racial reconciliation discussions among the racially diverse groups who attend and provides funds to empower the marginalized. In 2003, Church Under the Bridge held the largest One Book One Waco discussion on "A Lesson Before Dying."
Church Under the Bridge has been featured in Prism Magazine and Christianity Today. For more information about CUB visit their website at: www.churchunderthebridge.org
Church Under the Bridge sincerely Projects A Voice of Equality. On behalf of Baylor University, the 2004 PAVE Award is presented to Church Under the Bridge.
