Student leaders, faculty, and staff in the HRC aim to provide students with the infrastructure needed to make student-led initiatives a reality. If you're interested in joining one of our student-initiated interest groups, contact information is provided on the linked pages below. Ready to found your own interest group? Please contact Megan Witherspoon to get the ball rolling.
Special Interest Groups
- French Conversation Club: Are your French skills a little rusty? Have you always wanted to learn how to say "bonjour" without making a Frenchman/woman turn and run? Begun in November 2006, this club offers honors students a chance to get together with fellow French speakers (as well as beginners!) for a casual hour of conversation, culture and community.
- HRC Intramural Sports: Each year thousands of Baylor students choose to participate in a variety of sports, leagues and divisions offered through the BU Campus Recreation's Intramural Sports. Whether you're Triathalon-ready or just like to have fun, the HRC's intramural teams have a spot just for you! Find out how to get involved by contacting Wesley Hodges.
- HRC Men's Choir: The HRC Men's Choir was founded in the Fall of 2006 and stands to become a long-lasting tradition at Baylor University. The choir performs on campus and in the chapel (post-renovation), but is also a service venture that branches out into the Waco community by singing in local hospitals and nursing homes. Learn more about how to join the HRC Choir by contacting Matt Swift.
