Shared Life

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity" -Psalm 133:1

One of God's gifts to us is the privilege of living with other Christians. Recognizing our desire for community and desire to belong, the HRC seeks to provide for its members the opportunity to explore this gift through learning what living in an authentic Christian community looks like. The hope is that the community would enhance each student's learning, provide meaningful relationships, connect them to something greater than themselves, provide a sense of belonging, and sharpen and enhance each student's picture of what Christian community looks like.

As a residential college, the HRC has a unique pattern of events that are construed into a rhythm of life. This rhythm is composed of daily, weekly, and annual community events in addition to a number of spontaneous gatherings. Participation in these events is where true community will take place. As a member of the community you will pray, eat, study, serve, and discuss with others within this rhythm of life.
