Baylor University accepts applications only for positions which are currently posted.

A person will be considered an applicant if she or he possesses the announced qualifications for the position which she or he wishes to be considered for; has completed a Baylor application form; and has completed any testing, as appropriate.

The Federal Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) of 1986 requires that all employees, citizens and non-citizens, hired after November 6, 1986, complete Section 1 of the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) at the beginning of employment, and present acceptable documentation as listed on the Form I-9.

New employees will begin work on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of each month.

Current Baylor Employees: Employees of Baylor University seeking transfer must have been in their current position for at least six (6) continuous months. Employees who have been given written warnings (BU-PP 807) or placed in observation status (BU-PP 805) are not eligible for transfer until circumstances leading to these actions have been resolved. As a professional courtesy to the supervisor, employees who apply to the Human Resource Services Office for a specific posted position are asked to advise their current supervisor and/or department head that they have applied when they are selected for an interview.

Current Baylor Students: Baylor Students who are completing graduation requirements in the current semester may apply for open full-time positions for which they are qualified.
Please note: depending on departmental needs, a position may be filled prior to the end of the current semester. Currently enrolled graduate students taking 6 hours or less (including Independent Study Courses) may apply for open part-time positions. Graduate students must be able to work during the scheduled hours of position being considered.  All other students, please see the Student Employment page.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks, post-employment examinations, as required, indicating employability for position being offered. Verification of degrees will also be required prior to employment.

Smoking is banned in all Baylor University facilities.

It is unlawful for anyone to possess a firearm, illegal knife, club, or other weapon described in 46.05(a) of the Texas Penal Code on the campus or in any facility of Baylor University.

Effective May 1, 1999, Baylor uses direct deposit as its primary means of payment.
