As a new member of the Baylor faculty, you will be joining a diverse group of dedicated Christian professionals who work hard to make Baylor a great place to be. As a dynamic scholar, you were selected to join the faculty at Baylor because you possess a strong commitment to the classroom and an equally strong commitment to discovering new knowledge.
The purpose of this site is to provide you with a central location of valuable resources to help you in your first days and weeks on campus. The links provided will give you a better understanding of the customs, traditions, and environment that make Baylor University an exciting place to work.
As a new faculty member, you will attend two training programs before the start of the semester. The first program, called Faculty First Forum, is conducted by Human Resources and will provide you information on benefit options and enrollment. The second program, called New Faculty Orientation, is conducted by the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost and will provide information about faculty policies and expectations of new faculty members. Details about time and location for New Faculty Orientation will be sent via email directly to new faculty members, but more information can also be found on the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost website.
The Faculty First Forum is offered prior to the beginning of the Fall semester in the Clifton Robinson Tower, 2nd floor, Suite 200. The forum will cover enrollment in medical, dental, and life insurance plans, plus retirement plan enrollment. Additionally, all of the necessary employment forms and appropriate identification to satisfy the requirements for the Form I-9 will be collected if we have not already done so. Your completion of the employment forms prior to the beginning of the forum will expedite the process. Please be prepared to have your picture taken for your Baylor ID.
