The Horton Foote Society
The Horton Foote Society was established in November 2002 as a means of promoting interest to the academic community in the contributions made by Mr. Foote to the American theater.

Organized as a philanthropic organization, the Society promotes the study of the American playwright Horton Foote and his work through general intellectual inquiry and research, specific critical inquiry, academic conferences, popular and academic publications, public lectures, and the public presentation of plays. The purposes for organizing the corporation are educational and literary.
Dr. Terri Castleberry, Horton Foote, and Dr. Laurin Porter observe a panel discussion.
