Joseph and Kelly Armes Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Joseph & Kelly Armes Family Endowed Scholarship is a merit-based award for academically gifted incoming and current undergraduate students enrolled in the Honors College.

Basic requirements for scholarship eligibility:

• Must be an incoming freshman in 2014
• Must be enrolled in the Honors College
• Must be a full-time student during the scholarship period
• Must complete a FAFSA form with Student Financial Services

If you are awarded the scholarship, we will renew it automatically the next academic year provided you meet the basic requirements listed above and have a GPA of 3.6 or higher.

More about Joseph and Kelly Armes

The Joseph and Kelly Armes Family Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 by Joseph B. and Kelly Erickson Armes of Dallas, Texas.

Joseph B. Armes earned the BBA degree from Baylor University in 1983, the MBA degree from Baylor University in 1984, and the JD degree from Southern Methodist University in 1991. Mr. Armes was a member of the Baylor University Board of Regents from 2001 through 2010. He has previously served on the Baylor Foundation Board, the Hankamer School of Business Advisory Board and currently chairs the Advisory Council for the Honors College.

Kelly Erickson Armes earned the BBA degree from Baylor University in 1984. She is a member of the Baylor University Women's Council of Dallas.

Mr. and Mrs. Armes are members of the Baylor Bear Foundation, Old Main Society, Endowed Scholarship Society, and life member of the Baylor Alumni Association. In 2006, the Armes received the Baylor University Huckins Medallion for philanthropy.

Mr. and Mrs. Armes are members of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas. They have two children -- Annie and John.
