Joseph and Kelly Armes Endowed Scholarship:
The Joseph & Kelly Armes Family Endowed Scholarship is a merit-based award for academically gifted incoming Honors College freshmen and current Honors College students who maintain a 3.6 GPA.
Tommye Lou Davis Endowed Scholarship:
The Tommye Lou Davis Endowed Scholarship offers need-based aid for academically gifted incoming and current undergraduate students enrolled in the Honors College, with preference given to those studying Classics.
Ted and Sue Getterman Endowed Scholarship:
The Ted and Sue Getterman Endowed Scholarship provides a merit-based award for academically gifted incoming Honors College freshmen and current Honors College students who maintain a 3.6 GPA.
C. Clifton Robinson and Betsy Sharp Robinson Endowed Scholarship:
The C. Clifton Robinson and Betsy Sharp Robinson Endowed Scholarship created a need-based scholarship for academically gifted incoming Honors College freshmen and current Honors College students who maintain a 3.6 GPA.
Your contribution to the Honors College Excellence Fund will ensure that students continue to receive the fine education for which the Honors College is committed to providing.
What is the Honors College Excellence Fund?
In contrast to an endowment, excellence funds are current funds that are used on an annual basis. The purpose of the Honors College Excellence Fund is to aid Honors College students and faculty in the integration of learning and research.
What will my contribution support?
Contributions to the fund will provide for the following:
- Travel money for students to attend professional conferences where they have been selected to present their own research
- Research opportunities within the United States and abroad
- Participation on mission trips within the United States and abroad
- The Honors College lecture series
- Advertising and promotional material for the recruitment of students
- Financial support for Faculty Development projects aimed to help faculty to become better educators
- Teaching grants to assist faculty in the development of new courses or to take fresh approaches to already-existing courses
- Library funds to purchase materials for the research and writing of senior thesis projects.
We at the Honors College always are excited about sharing our students' and faculty achievements with others. So, updates regarding the allotment of funds will be shared with contributors. We're certain that you, too, will be proud of those who've chosen the pursuit of knowledge "with Honors."
