Entering Students Fall 2013

Freshman Reading Project

Together with the Honors Program faculty, incoming Honors students read a common text and participate in discussions led by other Honors students. A short, three-page essay caps off the Project.

Freshman Assembly 2013
All entering Honors Program students are required to attend the Freshman Assembly on Wednesday, September 4, at 7 p.m. in Bennett Auditorium. Details will be forthcoming, but please put this date on your calendar!

Once again, congratulations on your admission to the Honors Program. You've joined a select group of students who have committed themselves to getting the most out of their Baylor education. The Honors Program faculty and staff look forward to meeting you this summer and working with you in the fall.

Summer Orientation

All Honors Program students must attend the Honors Program advising session scheduled for 11:15 am on Day One of Summer Orientation. At this meeting, you'll meet your Honors Program advisors and begin working on your fall schedule. Later that afternoon, most of you will meet individually with an advisor and flesh out the rest of your schedule. (Students in both BIC and Honors will meet with their advisor on Day Two.)  In this regard, it will be helpful for you to bring a record of any dual credit/credit by exam scores with you to Orientation.

Can't Attend Orientation?

If you will not attend Orientation in June, your Honors advisor will work with you via email to register you into your fall classes. Please contact Dr. Albert Beck as soon as possible if you will not be at Orientation this June.
