Honors Line Camp was a great success, but we know that not everyone was able to attend. In the link below, please find a copy of the Line Camp handbook that was distributed in July. For those interested in getting a "big picture" overview of what college can offer, please be sure to read Stanley Hauerwas' essay, "Go With God: An Open Letter to Young Christians on their way to College", starting on page 4.
Move-in day for new residents in the Honors Residential College takes place on Wednesday, August 20. All students should have received an email (check your Baylor email account!) regarding the particular times that various residence halls open for move-in. There will be plenty of help getting you into your room when you arrive on campus, but be sure to label all your boxes, luggage, totes, etc. with your name and room number.
Welcome week will be an exciting, busy time for you! During these first few days, you'll want to finish unpacking your room, meet your hall mates, and prepare for the start of class on August 25. For those who still need to take placement tests, August 20-22 are the best days to take care of this. For those who want to continue with Spanish as their foreign language requirement, be sure to take the Spanish Placement Test available in the Language Acquisition Center, Draper 300.
During Welcome Week, you'll meet your New Student Program (NSP) small group leader and attend a meal with a Baylor faculty or staff member. For those of you enrolled in more than one New Student Program, you may need to pick one or another location for the Friday meal because of a possible time conflict. Be sure to let your small group leader know of your situation, and he or she can help you determine the best option for you.
