Study Questions
FOR A MULTIPLE CHOICE QUIZ about history fair:

You may download the study questions for this workshop in either MS Word or PDF format.

You may wish to mark your answers in the MS Word document on your computer or print out the PDF pages and mark your answers with a pen or pencil.

At the end of the workshop, you may submit your completed study document to the HOTRHF office either via e-mail or postal service.

Teachers who submit completed study documents will receive a certificate of workshop completion as well as a study packet with correct answers to the questions.

This workshop aims to help Central Texas teachers (and parents) guide students in the creation of successful projects for the Heart of Texas Regional History Fair (HOTRHF). This online workshop will take you step-by-step through the process of creating a history fair project.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • How to get students started in history fair competition
  • How the Heart of Texas Regional History Fair is organized
  • Requirements for history fair projects
  • How to guide students in good historical research
  • How history fair projects are judged
  • How to register for the Heart of Texas Regional History Fair
  • How to nominate students for special awards

This workshop is designed to guide you to the information provided throughout the HOTRHF Web site. On each workshop page are green links to information on specific topics as well as questions to guide your reading and test your understanding. Click on the links, read the information, and use your browser's "back" button to return to the workshop.

Please note: HOTRHF live workshops formerly held on the Baylor campus will no longer be offered. This online workshop is designed to provide all of the information included in the live workshop. After you have completed the online workshop, if you have questions or need more information, please contact the HOTRHF office at (254) 753-3251 or via e-mail to Dena_Martin@baylor.edu.

HOTRHF staff can also arrange group meetings with teachers, students, or parents on request. If you wish to schedule a meeting, contact the HOTRHF office.
