Sponsoring a special award at the Heart of Texas Regional History Fair is an excellent way to help promote the study of history by Central Texas students, foster academic excellence in your community, and earn recognition for your organization.
Organizations seeking to become first-time sponsors of special awards are invited to apply through the following procedures:
Applications must be returned by October 15, 2014.
For the application, the organization will need to state the criteria for its award and provide names of one contact person and at least one judge and one ceremony representative. We will be happy to help you formulate your criteria.
The applications will be presented to the HOTRHF Board of Directors, and if approved, a Letter of Agreement will be signed by both the new sponsoring organization's representative and the president of the Board of Directors.
Organizations who participated as special awards sponsors the previous year do not need to reapply but should contact Lois Myers, or Dena Martin to confirm your availability for the upcoming fair and request any possible changes in your award for the new year. NOTE: the HOTRHF Coodinator Dena Martin is retiring July 3. If you e-mail Dena she will forward your inquiry to the proper person untl the new coodinator is designated and an e-mail link can be established.
