Color Guard Auditions

Auditions for the 2014 Color Guard will be held during the Spring prior to the marching season. All new students interested in auditioning for the Color Guard should fill out the Golden Wave Band Interest Form and contact the Color Guard instructor immediately (Mrs. Laura Leal). Laura will e-mail the prospective members details regarding the audition process.

2014 Color Guard Auditions

Auditions are judged on fundamentals of movement and equipment. 

The 2014 Audition dates occur on the following dates:



Audition opportunity #1 - Saturday, May 17th; 10:00 - 12:00 PM

Audition opportunity #2 - Saturday, May 24th; 10:00 - 12:00 PM


Audition opportunity #3 - Wednesday, June 11th; 4:00 - 6:00 PM



Audition opportunity #4 - Saturday, June 14th; 10:00 - 12:00 PM



All auditions are held at McCrary Music Building (meet in the Foyer of the building). 

For the audition all potential members must:

• Contact Laura Leal (Color Guard Instructor) immediately about your interest in the program and a possible audition.

• Get accepted into Baylor University for Fall 2014.

• Perform a routine that is at least 90 seconds and no more than 3 minutes in length.  Any routines  failing to abide by this time limit will not be considered.  (Weapon work can be included but may NOT make up more than 25% of your routine)

• Have all music on an iPod or on CD-R format.

• Provide their own equipment unless you have contacted Mrs. Leal PRIOR to auditions.

• Sign up for one of the audition dates by filling out this REGISTRATION FORM.

• Be prepared to perform skills requested on flag and/or learn a short phrase of a routine.
