LTC Moskowitz is currently the Special Projects/Marketing Officer and Faculty for the Graduate Program in Nutrition, as a Drilling Individual Mobilization Augmentee (United States Army Reserves). She serves as a liaison between the program, recruiters, and potential candidates. In 2012, she was mobilized to AMEDD Center and School to serve as the Deputy Director of the Dietetic Internship program backfilling for an officer who was deployed to Afghanistan. As a civilian, she is the Manager of Organizational Development for the City of Ithaca and a Nutrition Consultant for Kirkland Village. Past positions include Medical Faculty for Coventry Family Practice Residency Program and Program Director for the Health Promotion and Weight Management Center at St Joseph Hospital. In the military she has served as Chief of Outpatient and Health Promotion at Madigan Army Medical Center and as a Personnel Officer for a Drill Sergeant Battalion.

Leslie has been an active in the profession of Dietetics throughout her career. Highlights of her service include serving as the Conference Chair, Program Chair, and Exhibits Chair for several PA Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Annual conferences. In addition, she served as the Education and Media Chair for the Lehigh Valley Dietetic Association.

Leslie enjoys hiking, growing herbs and vegetables, and has a special interest in pet nutrition.

Academic Interests and Research

Leslie has co-taught the weight management course at GPN. As a teacher, Leslie's approach is to translate evidence based research into operational practices. Supporting GPN's research, she served as technical advisor for the "Defend Your Heart" website research project. Her research interests are in the areas of functional and integrative medicine.


LTC Moskowitz presented nutrition lectures in the Occupational Therapy and Preventative Medicine programs at AMEDD Center and School. She provides nutrition lectures to the City of Ithaca employees as part of the worksite wellness.
