Boris Lau is currently an assistant professor at Baylor University and the particulate contaminant research committee chair of American Water Works Association (AWWA). He holds a BS degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and MS and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He has conducted postdoctoral research in the Environmental Engineering Program at Northwestern University and Duke University. Boris was awarded the National Water Research Institute Fellowship while conducting his PhD research. His focus lies in the area of physicochemical processes of colloids in the aquatic environment. He has addressed areas of research related to particle properties and control of pathogens and nanoparticles in engineered treatment systems as well as natural environmental systems.
