Such experiences relate integrally to President Robert B. Sloan's vision for the University as we enter the new millennium: that it remain true to its Christian heritage while becoming a world-class academic institution, and that it actively prepare its students for global citizenship.

Global Christian Ventures provides information and support for students interested in missions either as a full-time career or as a part-time or summer volunteer. Opportunities include lectures, symposia, workshops and a variety of missions projects coordinated through various Christian organizations. GCV also works with Baylor Study Abroad programs to coordinate opportunities for students to participate in missions either during their studies or as an extension of the academic experience. GCV provides scholarships for students involved in missions and children of missionaries. Additionally, this program assists those interested in a full-time career in missions through mentorship opportunities with former career missionaries.
