All Other Aid for International Students
Federal Financial Aid If you are not a U.S. citizen or do not have a status with the Department of Homeland Security as a "permanent resident," you will not be able to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We must have the results of this document in order to determine a student's eligibility for all other types of aid at Baylor University such as need-based scholarships, federal and state grants and many loan programs.
Priority for employment on campus is given to students who qualify for the Federal Work-Study program on a need-basis. After the first three weeks of classes in the fall, all students who want to work will be able to compete for on-campus positions for the remainder of the academic year.
International students can compete for positions with approval from the office of International Student and Scholar Services.
State Aid for Texas Residents Non citizens who do not qualify for federal assistance may be eligible for consideration for assistance as Texas residents. For details regarding the specific Texas residency requirements, go to the College For Texas Website. After reviewing this information, if you feel that you may qualify as a Texas resident, contact the Office of Academic Scholarships and Financial Aid regarding the procedure to apply for state financial aid programs.
