Kappa Omicron Nu

Kappa Gamma Theta Chapter at Baylor University

Kappa Omicron Nu is a national honor society representing all majors in Family and Consumer Sciences. The mission of the society is to support scholarship, leadership, research, and professional development. The Kappa Gamma Theta Chapter at Baylor began as Kappa Omicron Phi and in 1993 due to an organization merger, the organization became known as Kappa Omicron Nu.

The Baylor chapter maintains an active membership of about 30 students. To be eligible, a student must be a major in Family and Consumer Sciences, have completed twelve hours of FCS classes, and have a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.2 GPA in all FCS classes. Apply Here

Baylor students are active at the national level, attending the biannual conclave that brings KONu students from across the country together to focus on leadership initiatives and chapter improvement. This year the national conclave was held in Nashville, TN, August 6-9, 2009. To see photos from the conclave click here.
