#BackInBlack vs. Oklahoma Saturday!

Jan. 17, 2014

A scheduled Blackout is expected at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Ferrell Center against the Oklahoma Sooners. Visitors from Oklahoma should expect a loud and disruptive atmosphere, while Baylor fans should expect a euphoric comradery with fellow Bears, raised noise levels, and a sense of enthusiasm.

The more severe the blackout, the greater these effects will have on those in attendance. To accomplish this, Baylor Nation is encouraged to attend decked out in their black Baylor gear, and be prepared to bring the noise and bring the energy to the Ferrell Center Saturday afternoon.

A successful Blackout was executed on Nov. 7, 2013, at Floyd Casey Stadium -- coincidentally enough, also against the Oklahoma Sooners. The energy at Floyd Casey Stadium that night generated the maximum positive and negative impacts on the respective teams, resulting in a lopsided Baylor victory.

In recognition of that successful Blackout -- and Baylor football's conference championship season -- Baylor will honor the Big 12 football champions at halftime of Saturday's game.

Join Baylor Nation in getting #BackInBlack against the Sooners Saturday. Come out, wear black, cheer loudly, make noise, celebrate Baylor football's historic season, and let's see Baylor Nation rise up again and Blackout the Sooners!
