Staff Council seeks 'Food for Families'

Staff Council has adopted "Food for Families" as the fall 2009 service project. Collection boxes for donations of non-perishable food items have been placed in buildings across campus for donations through Nov. 19.

Donated food will be taken to KWTX television station on Friday, Nov. 20, where it will be weighed and then distributed to our local food bank, Caritas.

Once the food is weighed, Baylor will be entered into a contest for the largest donation and we would love for Baylor University to be the winner.

During these difficult times in our economy and with the holiday season approaching we want to be mindful of the needs of others in our community and this is a tangible way to ease their burden.
