Summer Commencement Saturday Morning

We hope that many of you will join us for graduation Saturday morning, August 15. We're only having one ceremony this summer, but that makes it no less important to the graduates and the life of the university than the 3-ceremony event we had in May.

We encourage you to enter the Ferrell Center parking lot from LaSalle Avenue. Please identify yourself to the parking attendant as a faculty member and you should be able to park in the lot nearest the building. Faculty will gather in the Stone Room, which you can enter either from an outside entrance at the rear of the Whetsel Practice Facility or from the concourse (this entrance will likely be inside the curtains set up for the student staging area).

The ceremony will begin promptly at 10 a.m. at Ferrell Center. We suggest you be in the robing room a half-hour prior to the start of the ceremony, allow sufficient time to robe, line-up and move to your processional starting location.

Faculty marshals will be on hand to assist you in the process and get you to the right place at the right time!

As we begin the presentation of diplomas, faculty are encouraged to move near the photo area to greet the graduates after they have had their photos made. Faculty marshals will be there to designate the greeting area.

Thank you again for your participation in graduation and your support of our students. What a great way to conclude the summer!
