Each year, Staff Council hosts two major service projects, seeking support from all BU staff and faculty. For the fall 2012 project, the Staff Council has chosen to support Mosaic of Waco.

Mosaic is a faith-based organization that provides a life of possibilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities (autism, down-syndrome, and others). Mosaic of Waco is licensed to serve individuals in eleven counties under the authority of the Heart of Texas and the Central Counties Centers for MHMR services. Currently, their program includes 49 people in service. There are eight group homes in the Waco and Harker Heights areas.

Mosaic of Waco needs our help through the holidays.

Mosaic welcomes your online monetary donations, or you may opt to support their mission by donating an item from their wish list. There are neon-green containers for donations at the locations listed below through December 7. The staff council website has a link to the Mosaic site for a monetary donation and to the wish list of items for donation. If you prefer, you may send a check (made payable to "Mosaic of Waco") to Marilyn McKinney, Staff Council Chair at One Bear Place #97273, campus. Mosaic will provide a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.
