Staff Council Spring Project Open to Everyone

April 5, 2012

As another way of exemplifying Baylor pride and Christian caring, Staff Council has adopted support for the Humane Society of Central Texas as their spring service project. March 26 to April 26 there will be a University-wide collection of donations for the Humane Society of Central Texas, the only open-door facility in McLennan County.

Staff Council is placing collection boxes in three convenient locations:

• Robinson Tower (1st & 6th floors)

• Student Life Center

• Bill Daniel Student Center

Essential items needed include:

• paper towels (over 10+ rolls per day are used!)

• blankets/sheets (used for bedding to make animals feel more at home)

• dog & cat food (supplies are currently running very low; "Pedigree" preferred or canned softer,

spreadable-type foods rather than sliver/chunk cuts of meat)

• rawhides & dental chew sticks (no tennis balls, please)

• ear thermometers

• latex & latex-free gloves

• Germ-X, bleach, & Dawn original dish soap (blue bottle)

• copier paper & ink pens are always needed

• gas gift cards (used when animals are transported to out-of-town placement locations)

To make a monetary donation, please send a check made payable to the Humane Society of Central Texas to:

Debbie Williams, Service Project Committee Chair
One Bear Place #97074

PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH! Thank you for your support of Baylor Staff Council and our "furry" friends!
