Good Stewardship

Building a facility is no small task. A structure is usually years in the making even before ground is broken. In September 2001, Baylor 2012, Baylor's Ten-Year Vision was birthed, and out of that, the 2002 Campus Master Plan was developed.

  • In the first four months of the new electrical substation coming online, the University saved $225,000 in electricity costs.
  • With projected annual electrical savings exceed $600,000, the substation will pay for itself in less than five years.
  • The Campus Master Plan, developed in 2002, looks ahead 20 to 25 years to possible future needs.
  • The Master Plan also aids in identifying how a building will fit with Baylor's mission and vision.
  • Part of good stewardship is being true to the traditions and assets of Baylor, and to our original architectural forms.
