Weddings

Baylor University has a variety of facilities that are frequently requested for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The university policies for ceremony and reception spaces depend on the venue. Further, our team only books some of the wedding venues. Please see the venue-specific information below.

All wedding facilities are booked for five-hour increments, which includes four hours the day of the wedding and one hour of rehearsal the day before. Weddings are typically booked at least nine months in advance unless otherwise noted below.

Ceremony Spaces

GEORGE W. TRUETT THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY - PAUL W. POWELL CHAPEL

Open to the public.

  • Fee: $1,000 per event (additional fees may apply for A/V services, security, exceeded time and housekeeping/maintenance)
  • Capacity: 420 max.

ARMSTRONG BROWNING LIBRARY

In order to have a wedding in Armstrong Browning Library, you must be currently enrolled at Baylor, a Baylor alum, currently employed at Baylor, dependent of a current Baylor employee or a current Library Patron (donated $5,000 to the libraries in the year the wedding is to take place).

  • Fees: $500 security deposit; $1,500 room fee

  • Capacity: 200

MILLER CHAPEL

In order to have a wedding in Miller Chapel, you must be currently enrolled at Baylor, a Baylor alum, currently employed at Baylor or a dependent of a current Baylor employee.

  • Booking: Requests are handled through the division of Institutional Events. Please submit our online form.
  • Fee: Miller Chapel’s fee for a full day rental is $750 and a five hour rental is $500. If the five-hour rental is chosen, you can either have the space from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. or from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m., with one hour of rehearsal the day before.
  • Capacity: 420
  • Location: 600 Speight Avenue, Waco, TX 76798; located in the Tidwell Bible Building
  • Policies: No food, drinks, flower petals and candles with the exception of one dripless unity candle

STACY RIDDLE FORUM - MARY McCALL CHAPEL

Open to the public

  • Booking: Requests are handled through the department of Institutional Events. Please submit our online form

  • Equipment available: CD player, iPod dock, microphone

BROOKS COLLEGE - ROBBINS CHAPEL

  • Open to the public
  • Fee: $200 for Brooks College Members and $500 for all others
  • No piano, organ or tech equipment available
  • Policies: No food, drinks, flower petals and candles with the exception of one dripless unity candle
  • Note: There is no bride room, groom room or access to restrooms.
  • Capacity: 75
  • Location: 600 Dutton Avenue, Waco, TX 76798; Located in Brooks Village


Reception Spaces

  • Capacity: Seated dinner - 150 max.; Stand-up reception - 275 max.
