The House of Poetry

This year’s House of Poetry was held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 (see the complete program, linked at right), with morning readings and a presentation, followed by the annual luncheon, and conversation with the program's poets, at noon. The afternoon session featured a workshop and an open-mic poetry reading.

Many who attended the Student Awards Ceremony of the Beall Poetry Festival on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 attended the other Beall Poetry Festival events as well. See the Beall Poetry Festival 2013 web page for details.

 The House of Poetry attendees who submitted and read poems this year are listed in the 2013 Reading Session Booklet's Table of Contents, and you may read the poems in their entirety by going to the posted 2013 Booklet, linked at right in the DOWNLOADS frame.  

The House of Poetry, with its attendant activities, thrives to the extent that you and others who love verse support it. Although no dues are required, donations are accepted. If you would like to make a contribution, please make your check payable to “Baylor University” and designated to the House of Poetry.
