The School of Engineering and Computer Science is pleased to announce the arrival of Adam Ecklund, student success specialist. Adam arrives from California and Azusa Pacific University where he served as assistant international programs coordinator and graduate assistant to the provost. Adam holds a bachelors of arts in Biblical studies and Christian ministries and a masters of education, both from Azusa Pacific University.
At Azusa Pacific, Adam gained experience in working with college administrators, faculty, staff, students, and parents in his roles as student body president, assistant international programs coordinator, and graduate assistant to the provost. Adam and his wife, Emily, also taught at the English Language Institute in Beijing, China.
Adam wrote in his application, "I am currently looking to pursue my passion of working in Christian higher dducation after stepping away for a year to take care of family after my father-in-law passed unexpectedly. My time away has only increased the passion I have for college students and excited me for the next step God has for me. I believe that my résumé demonstrates additional leadership, experience, and activities that qualify me for the student success specialist position."
