RESEARCH "My graduate work involved the design and validation of an impinging jet test facility. The facility will simulate the cooling effects created by jet impingement on the surface of turbine blades, thereby helping us to examine the effectiveness of different jet array configurations and geometries in order to accurately determine the most effective means of cooling the extreme temperatures experienced by the metals within a gas turbine engine."
