Research Symposium Fall 2004
Our Fifth Annual Student Research Symposium came off with out a hitch. Held on Thursday September 23, 2004, the symposium featured 22 outstanding poster presentations from undergraduate and graduate student researchers. These students performed their research in a total of seven departments at Baylor University (Waco) and the Baylor Research Institute (Dallas).
Scheduled to coincide with the dedication of the new Baylor Sciences Building as well as Parents' Weekend, the symposium offered the Baylor community at large an opportunity to be exposed to the great variety of research that is pursued by factulty associated with the Center. Approximately 200 students and faculty viewed the posters during the 'official' symposium hours (3-6), while numerous members of the community viewed the posters before they were removed from display on Wednesday, September 29.
Financial support for the symposium was provided by the Center for Drug Discovery, the Office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Office of the Vice-Provost for Research. Special thanks are extended to the symposium judges: Professors M. Devan Jonklaas, Ann Rushing, and David Rudd.
