Center for Drug Discovery Hires First Post-Doc
Dr. Ming Zhou has joined the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in conjunction with the Center for Drug Discovery as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Dr. Zhou was born in Nanchang, Jingxi province in China. In 2000, he obtained his doctorate degree from Toyo University, Japan. Upon graduation, Dr. Zhou joined Dr. Holton's group as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. He worked on the synthesis of various anti-cancer agents designed after Taxol. From April 2002, he moved to the University of Texas at Arlington to study the synthesis of various polymeric dyes.

Dr. Zhou started his work with Professors Pinney, Trawick and Kane at Baylor University in September 2004. He is married and has two lovely daughters.
