Hall, President Emeritus of Buckner International, will join the President's leadership team as Senior Vice President for University Development and Strategic Initiatives. WACO, Texas (Oct. 16, 2012) - Stuart and Gina Solomon of McLean, Va., were honored as Baylor University's Parents of the Year for 2012 during the University's annual Parent and Family Weekend celebration Oct. 12-13. Baylor President Ken Starr and Parents League director Judy Maggard presented the award to the Solomons at halftime of the Baylor-TCU football game on Oct. 13.

WACO, Texas (Oct. 16, 2012) -- Baylor University's Louise Herrington School of Nursing received more than $35,000 in donations on the Communities Foundation of Texas' annual North Texas Giving Day Sept. 13. This year, 78 donors made gifts to the nursing school during the online event.

Benedict, Ph.D., a professor and director of clinical training in the department of psychology and neuroscience at Baylor University, has been named the recipient of the annual Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award by the Texas Psychological Association. WACO, Texas (October 1, 2012)- According to the Centers for Disease Control, "about 1 in 88 children have been identified with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD)" and research shows a steady increase in its occurrence. In an effort to provide support for parents and those with ASD, the Baylor Autism Resource Center (BARC) is providing additional services and programs--autism assessment, parent workshops, special education and advocacy services and a support group for those with Asperger's syndrome.
