College of Arts & Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences provides the foundation for nearly all of the academic programs at Baylor University. The College is the academic institution in which most of Baylor's undergraduates are enrolled, and it houses programs that traditionally have been among the university's strongest: premedical and related health sciences, ministerial, pre-law and liberal arts and sciences programs.

Funding Priorities

Dean's Excellence Fund -- Your gifts to this fund benefit faculty and students by funding field research, educational travel to conferences or semesters abroad. Such opportunities often qualify participants for internships, awards and grants, enhancing the quality of education within the College of Arts and Sciences.

Departmental Excellence Funds -- Each of the 26 chairs within the College of Arts and Sciences administers a discretionary fund that directly supports his or her department. Gifts to these funds help underwrite special projects, student and faculty programs and equipment purchases.

Endowed Scholarship Funds -- Endowed scholarships, which can be awarded based on need and/or merit, help us recruit the best students and provide more students the Baylor experience.
