About Us
The mission of Baylor Delegates is to serve the Office of Admission Services in recruiting prospective students, educating them on the opportunities at Baylor University and sharing the spirit of our campus community.
Across America, colleges and universities are becoming increasingly more competitive as they seek to attract the highest quality students who are academically prepared and exhibit leadership potential. Baylor, like other major universities, faces this same challenge as it works to maintain a well-prepared and diversified student body.
To meet this challenge Baylor is utilizing its increasing network of alumni, parents, and other friends of Baylor.
Baylor Delegates are instrumental in shaping each new incoming class of Baylor Bears. These trained volunteers recruit prospective students for Baylor University, serving as a direct extension of the Office of Admission Services in their local communities. Consisting of alumni, parents and friends of Baylor, Delegates attend prospective student recruitment events, informing future students about the admissions process while sharing their own Baylor experiences.
The majority of volunteer opportunities will be in the fall and spring, with training seminars and webinars held each summer. Recruitment opportunities include:
- College Fairs: College fairs are forums for prospective students to receive information from various universities and speak with admissions counselors from those universities.
- Baylor Rallies: Baylor Rallies take place in cities across the U.S. and offer prospective students and their parents a closer look at Baylor. These events feature Baylor professors and students, as well as admissions representatives.
- Refer a student: Send the names and pertinent information of high school students to the Office of Admission Services.
- On-campus events: We invite you to join us on campus during one of our major visit events. Please visit the Campus Visits website for more information.
