Engineering Faculty Receive Grant for Generating Electric Power in Rural Areas

Three Baylor engineering faculty members and a faculty member from the Baylor Hankamer School of Business were recently awarded $50,000 from the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA). Their proposal, entitled, "Pico-Hydropower Franchising: A Test Bed in Rural Honduras," will facilitate research on methods of generating electric power suitable for the rural villages of developing countries.
