Career Exploration Process
Current students have the opportunity to meet individually with a career counselor to explore majors and careers. This service is free and confidential.
•Discuss personality, interests, strengths, values, and calling.
•Discuss career exploration process.
•Receive instructions for assessments.
•For next session: Complete assessments online. After completing the assessments, you will be notified of your second and third appointment times.
•Receive interpretation of results of Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator in a group workshop.
•Discuss careers and majors that are of interest.
•Review websites available for obtaining career and major information.
•For next session: Research careers and majors of interest and return with a Top Three list to discuss at your next appointment.
•Discuss narrowed list and how each option fits with your personality, interests,strengths, values, and calling.
•Form a Plan of Action with your career counselor regarding next steps in your career decision-making process.
•Make a follow-up appointment with your career counselor if you have further questions.
