What is CPD?

The Office of Career and Professional Development (CPD) helps students and alumni achieve "Success Beyond Baylor" through career exploration, professional development, and employment resources.

CPD encompasses three distinct areas.

Each area of our department works together to help Baylor students prepare for the professional world.

  • Professional Development

Students work with career advisors to identify potential college majors and careers through self-assessment, goal-setting, and action plans. CPD prepares students to confidently market themselves and successfully prepare for graduate school or engage employers by utilizing skill-building workshops, mock interviews, premium online services, and annual campus career fairs.

  • Employer Relations

CPD’s Employer Relations Team recruits and orchestrates the on-campus arrival of top-tier companies to facilitate student interviews and classroom presentations.

  • Alumni Career Engagement

Baylor alumni of all experience levels obtain insight into career management through personalized consultation and guidance on résumés, job search strategies, and professional branding. Students can access alumni contacts through the online Career Advice Network.
