Dr. Gethner’s anthologies of plays written by early modern French female playwrights are known throughout the academic community both nationally and internationally. His talk, entitled « Early Modern Female Playwrights and the struggle for center stage » will be sure to interest students and faculty interested in women’s studies, French theater, or the early modern historical period in France. There will be a reception immediately following in the Sendón Room in 109 Old Main.
