Title of the seminar: Stochastic Modeling in Dusty Plasmas and Dusty Turbulent Flows=0D=0A=
=0D=0A=
This talk focuses on the stochastic modeling of the charge fluctuations of a dust particle within a plasma, and the stochastic modeling of the dynamics of a dust particle influenced by the turbulent fluctuations of its carrying flow. A dust particle within a plasma collects plasma particles, i.e., ions and electrons, at random times so its charge randomly fluctuates over time. Recent developments concerning with the cases in which the dust paticle charging process is nonstationary will be discussed in detail. A dust particle carried by a turbulent flow experiences a Stokes force that randomly fluctuates, which results in random fluctuations of its position and velocity. The stochastic modeling of these fluctuations is discussed for the cases in which the turbulence is dealt with by large-eddy simulation (LES).=0D=0A=
