Toward NNLO Accuracy of Parton Distribution Functions=0D=0A=
In the first part, I will review basic properties of parton distribution functions (PDFs) and the role of PDFs in modern collider physics. I will then discuss physics issues arising in the development of next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) parton distribution functions that are needed for modern experiments. A variety of factors affects the PDFs at the level comparable to NNLO QCD corrections. Recent efforts by PDF analysis groups aimed at understanding the interplay of such factors will be reviewed, and examples of applications of PDFs in practical simulations will be presented.=0D=0A=
