Sponsored by Baylor's Office of Spiritual Life, mission trips taken this past March offered students a snapshot of life around the world as well as greater insight into their own goals and desires.

Funding Our Future: Baylor Parents Fund

Recently you received informative pieces on supporting our students in practical ways through Baylor's Parents Fund.

From on-campus
emergency services to scholarship support, the Parents Fund is simply Baylor parents helping to shoulder the burden of fellow Baylor parents by caring for our students together. Every gift, regardless of size, matters in the life of a Baylor student. We hope you'll consider supporting the Parents Fund as you're able.

Texas Tuition Equalization Grant

Many of our Texas parents have heard about the ongoing discussion about potential changes to the Texas Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG). This support is critical to Baylor, to our state and to supporting Baylor students. This year, more than 3,200 Baylor students--nearly one in four--are benefiting from this smart-dollar investment.

Forty years ago, Texas made a promise to families who aspired to the dream of a college education and to all Texans envisioning a future of a well-educated citizenry contributing to a strong Texas economy. That promise is now threatened by lawmakers proposing drastic reductions in funding for needy families and promising young students.

Baylor's Strategic Planning: The Next Phase

For those of you who participated in providing feedback to the University's Strategic Planning Process, thank you! Your unique insight as Baylor parents is needed and appreciated. As the Community Input phase draws to a close, the Strategic Themes Committee will synthesize and analyze all of the input, developing a report for President Starr, Provost Davis and the members of the Executive Council that identifies recurring themes and priorities. Please feel free to follow our progress, as we continue the development of the plan that will guide and inspire Baylor University in the decade to come.

Remaining engaged in your student's Baylor experience is important.
