This is the first part of a five part course covering TRAX, The Baylor University Financial Transaction system. The user will learn how to view Budget information and request reports using TRAX. Please send in a Trax Security application at least one week before training. Note: This is the only course a user will need if they will only be looking at budget information. Level: Novice |

NEW Computer Based Training (CBT) lesson – Information Technology Security |
A large virus outbreak or computer security breach can cost the university thousands of dollars in wasted time and software expenses. Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States. ITS works very hard to protect Baylor and Baylor employees from viruses and security breaches -- but the most expensive security system in the world is worthless unless the people who use the system take the necessary precautions. In this CBT lesson you will learn your responsibilities regarding IT security at Baylor. The lesson takes 30 minutes or less and you can complete it at your desk. Do you need to hire student workers, but lack the flexibility to be away from your desk for several hours to attend training? Now you can receive instruction from the comfort of your own office. Introducing computer based training that allows you stay at your office and still receive the training you need. The advantages to this training include moving at your own pace, the ability to go back and refresh as needed, and a quiz at the end to check your learning. This is the first computer based training made available by POD. It is designed to make learning easier for you and you still receive professional development credit upon successful completion of the course.
