Baylor's Construction Services department supports the mission of Baylor University by providing coordination and project management of major construction projects at the University. The staff oversees all capital construction improvements and architectural / engineering design services for the University. The department is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and assuring functional compliance to standards and criteria as identified by the University administration under Baylor 2012.

The department has managed and executed over $250 million in new construction and building improvements since 2003.

Keven Kehlenbach
Assistant Vice President of Construction Services
Keven joined Baylor Facility, Planning & Construction in 2007 as Senior Project Manager and became Director of Construction Services in 2008 and in 2014 became Assistant Vice President of Construction Services. Keven holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University's Department of Construction Science. Before coming to Baylor, Keven worked six years with the General Contractor at McCarthy Building Companies.

Kevin Karr
Senior Project Manager
Kevin joined Baylor Facility, Planning & Construction in 2009 as Senior Project Manager. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Texas A&M University. Kevin worked 16 years constructing large commercial construction projects throughout Texas and he is experienced in sustainable design and construction practices and is a 'LEED' accredited professional.

George Thornton
Project Manager
George joined Baylor Facility, Planning and Construction as Project Designer in July of 2007. He became Project Manager in 2008. George holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Baylor University and a Minor in Business Administration. Before becoming a full time employee for Baylor, George worked as a design intern for one year until graduating in May of 2007.

JD Dethrow
Project Manager
JD joined Baylor Facility, Planning & Construction as Project Manager in February 2013. JD holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Master of Science in Construction Management, both from Texas A&M University. Before coming to Baylor, he worked 11 years at McCarthy Building Companies.
