TRAVEL AND LODGING

GUEST SEATING
Tickets are not required for access to the ceremony. Although there is no limit as to the number of guests that may attend, we encourage you to limit the number of guests to 12 or fewer. All ceremonies for spring 2015 will be large due to the number of graduates and the guest count will go up, as well.

SERVICES/ACCESS FOR DISABLED GUESTS
Ferrell Center is fully equipped for ADA needs. Guests needing handicap parking or curb-side drop-off should ask parking attendants for directions to the appropriate area of the parking lot. Guests in wheelchairs or with walkers, those needing additional time to move through the building, and guests who have trouble with stairs will want to arrive in sufficient time to avoid heavy crowds along the concourse.

SIGNING FOR HEARING IMPAIRED
Sign interpretation for graduates or guests with hearing impairments will be provided for the university commencement ceremonies upon request. It is preferred that the request be made at least two weeks prior to the ceremony, to allow sufficient time for arrangements with qualified interpreters. Contact the Commencement Manager at 254-710-8534 to request the services and obtain seating information.

GUEST ATTIRE
Guests are encouraged to wear dress clothes, which might be interpreted for women as nice slacks and top, a pant suit or a dress. Men should wear nice slacks and a polo or button-up shirt, slacks and sport coat, or a suit and tie.

Graduates and guests are should not wear blue jeans, shorts, t-shirts or flip-flops.

GUEST BEHAVIOR
Guests are asked to maintain the dignity of this ceremony. We understand your enthusiasm for graduates. However to ensure that all graduates and guests hear the names of the students, guests must refrain from loud, disruptive cheering and the use of any noise-making devices is not allowed.

PARKING ACCESS
