2014-15 Roommate Proxy Information

Proxy Form

What is a PROXY?

A "Proxy" is any Baylor student who can reserve a room for you without you being present. A Proxy must be a student who you plan to live with next year.

Who can serve as my PROXY?

Any student currently enrolled at Baylor University who you plan to live with next year. Parents, siblings, relatives and non-Baylor students are not able to be a proxy for you.

How does the ROOMMATE PROXY FORM work?

Step 1. YOU download the form and complete the "Student Information" section. Then, give it to your PROXY.

Step 2. Your PROXY then completes his/her portion and brings it with them to either 1) the phase in which YOU are eligible to apply for an assignment or 2) the phase your PROXY is eligible to apply, whichever is earlier.

Step 3. Your PROXY selects an assignment for both you and him/her.

Step 4. You check your Baylor email for the 2014-2015 Occupancy License link. Open the link and sign the license.

I'm eligible to sign up for in a different phase than my ROOMMATE PROXY. Which one can I or my PROXY go to?

You or your proxy can go to the earliest phase in which either of you are eligible.

I'm eligible to sign up for my same room next year, but I want to pull in a different roommate. What do I do?

First, confirm with your current roommate that they aren't planning on doing the same. If they are, discuss your options together or ask a Community Leader to help you. Next, have the roommate you wish to live with next year complete a ROOMMATE PROXY form, with you serving as the PROXY. Finally, agree to the 2014-15 Occupancy License that was sent to your Baylor student email account, and then EMAIL a scanned copy of your intended roommate's completed PROXY form to Living_Learning@baylor.edu. You can also bring it by our office located in Penland Hall, under the green awning across from the Baylor Bookstore.
