What is the best part about your on-campus community?

The best part of Collins is that I am able to live life with students who are just experiencing Baylor and college for the first time. This often comes with a lot of challenges, but also a lot of exciting times! Collins is a place where young women are able to participate in community, learn about themselves and others, and have a home away from home. My greatest is joy is in seeing my residents having fun and really enjoying their Collins experience.

What does authentic Christian community mean to you?

To me authentic Christian community is a place where people feel supported, can grown into who they truly are, and where they feel like they belong. Authentic Christian community is about creating a community of people who are there for one another in good times and in bad. With the foundation of Christianity, people are able to experience, celebrate, and live life with one another while feeling loved and cared for.

What is your favorite part about being an RHD, Resident Chaplain, or FIR?

I feel blessed to be able to see students develop and grow during their time in my building. I love seeing students discover what makes them passionate. I enjoy the opportunity to help students explore more about themselves and who they are meant to be. As a hall director, I am lucky to spend a year with students and I enjoy seeing where their adventures take them after their time in our building. It is rewarding for me to know I can make an impact on a student’s experience at Baylor.
